Synopsis

Inspired by 1970s Blaxploitation cinema, we partnered with Wu-Tang Clan’s DJ Mathematics and Danny Hastings to craft a fully AI-generated music video for Mandingo. Every frame captures the gritty, over-the-top aesthetic of the era, from its rich color palette to its larger-than-life characters. By combining AI-generated cinematography with world-building techniques, we expanded the music video into an immersive cinematic universe—pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with generative filmmaking.

VFX Breakdown

In addition to creating a music video built entirely with generative AI, we layered in traditional VFX techniques to heighten Mandingo’s gritty, surreal aesthetic—blending the future of filmmaking with classic craft.
